Most of what gets built on this coast is block and stucco with aluminium-look PVC windows, thrown up by whoever was available that month, and priced as though the ocean view covers the rest. It warps, it leaks, it moulds, and in five years it looks it.
We build the other way. Steel-reinforced insulated concrete shell. Commercial-grade aluminium glazing systems. Hardwood joinery, stone surfaces, top-tier appliances, a twenty by forty foot pool with a deep end. The specification is international; it just happens to be sited in the jungle.
And we do it end to end — we buy the land, draw the plans, run our own crew, and hand over a finished home. One party is accountable from the first survey stake to the day you get the keys.
Every one of these costs more than the local alternative. In a tropical, seismic, salt-air environment, every one of them pays for itself.
Insulated concrete form — steel-reinforced concrete poured between two permanent layers of rigid insulation. Engineered for a seismic zone, not adapted to one. Costa Rica sits on an active margin and we build for it deliberately.
